The Role

Lakeside is seeking a highly motivated MBA intern to join our team for the summer to assist with Investor Relations. Reporting to our VP of Business Development and working closely with our CEO, this individual will play a crucial role in supporting our business planning, financial analysis, business case development, and storytelling efforts to effectively engage with our executive leadership team, investors, customers, and partners.

What You'll Do

The core functions of this role include:

• Evaluating business cases for new projects or initiatives, providing insightful analysis and recommendations
• Utilizing advanced Excel skills to build financial models and conduct scenario analysis
• Translating complex financial statements into clear and compelling visuals, such as charts, graphs, and presentations, to communicate key insights to investors
• Developing compelling narratives that highlight Lakeside's value proposition, market opportunities, and growth strategies for investor presentations and communications
• Assisting with the administration of our multiple technical alliance relationships

What You'll Bring to Lakeside

The key requirements for this role include:

• Currently pursuing an MBA with a focus on finance, product management, business administration, or related field
• Background working in software or tech, with a keen interest in emerging trends and innovation
• Strong understanding of business planning, business cases, financial analysis, and Excel modeling
• Proficiency in translating financial data into visual representations for effective communication
• Excellent storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner
• Prior experience in investment banking or operations is helpful

• Location: Remote with a preference for candidates in the eastern or central timezone; candidates local to Atlanta or Boston will have the opportunity to come into our office for face-to-face meetings
