Required documents for N-400 Immigration forums for visa, green card, visitors insurance, OCI and more (4)Required documents for N-400

I am applying based on my 5 years of permanent residency. I got two questions. Question#1. Are 2 passport photos still required or not? Because in the Instructions of N-400 (the latest 12/23/16 version)it says Only applicants who reside overseas must provide 2 identical photos of yourself taken recently. I reside in the United States. So, should I send or not? Question #2. In the N-400 Instructions form, page 10, under Required Evidence, it asks to send the photocopy of current marriage certificate. But form M-477, Document Checklist, States that photocopy of Marriage Certificate is required if you are applying based on marriage to the Unite States Citizen. I am married, but as I stated, I am applying based on permamanent residency. Do I need to send the copy of marriage certificate or not?

The new requirement is that you don't need to submit pp photos. I am going to be sending my application next week and wont be sending photos.
If you became a PR because of marriage to USC then yes send the Marriage Certificate. I became a PR because I married a USC so I am sending a copy of our Marriage Certificate and my husbands BC.

It means if you are applying based on the 3-year rule instead of the 5-year rule.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

Thank you for response. I didn't send the pics. But, I sent the marriage certificate because it was listed in N-400 Instructions under Required Evidence section as part of 4 requirements. I thought since I am married, I sent it just if they want verification. Athough in N-400 I checked the box that I am applying under 5 years of residency. But the continuation of that section, just underneath, they ask to bring all required documents with me to the interview. And again, they ask for the marriage certificate among other docs. Do you think it will be confusing if I sent it? Or they will just see that I am applying under 5 years residency and take the marriage certificate as an evidence of my current marriage status?

Thanks for the reply. But, as I asked to the previous responder, what u think, if I sent the marriage certificate, will that be ok? But I checked the box that I am applying based on 5 years of residency.

              Continuing

My concern is, even if I sent the marriage certificate, but applying based on residency, will that be a problem in general?
