Rutgers University established a firm foundation and education for my career. I had amazing instructors that helped me during my time at RU. I wouldn't trade my experience for anything.

It’s judged too critically. The facilities are okay like the buildings but the opportunities and student life aspect is there if you just look. The business school is also very nice. Also people say it’s not safe but Rutgers is tucked in a part of Newark that’s not bad. Don’t veer too far away, but that goes for a lot of schools.

Great school. The business school is great and will open you up to lots of opportunities. As far as social life, it is a small school so it's what you make. If you're a social person it's not really hard to make friends, you just need to find your people and you'll be alright. A lot of people do commute though. The food is good some days.

Rutgers University is consistently ranked amongst the top best schools in New Jersey for a reason. It is located in the City of Newark, which provides you with a lot of opportunities you wouldn't find if you go to a school in the middle of nowhere. I know of many graduates who have received jobs in Newark (ex: Prudential) simply cuz of location.

It's getting better with time because the competition is dividing bw NB and Newark (esp for business school). As long as you're in campus you're safe. Party scene is okay and is mainly in NJIT. Weekends are pretty much dead as it's a commuter school. Teachers are alright, choose yours wisely. Advisors are ok, overall value for money.

It is downtown, so maybe not the safest place, but otherwise it's a very good pick!! The professors are always available and motivating, advisors are willing to help however they can, and the social scene is plentiful.

The computer science program at this school is a joke, avoid it. Majority of professors are rude and disrespectful. Advisors don't really try to help you at all. I transferred from a 2 year, I was ready for graduation. Denied since I never declared a minor. No advisor cared to inform me until my graduation got denied. They won't help. Care 4 urself

My experience here has been very disappointing. The program I am in does not work with the students and what is best for us. The students just want to get it over with. This overall creates a negative vibe that we just as students in this program have. I don't feel I got my monies worth here.

This campus wants to keep you there as long as possible , I am a senior and I had to fight with the entire department for my graduation requirements, they are no use , do not help at all, your basically on your own ! stay focused , keep checking on your progress, and you'll make it out, but do not rely on staff , waste of time !!!!

In this campus, nobody cares about students. The majority of the professors just want to fail students and dont care about actually teaching the students. They think because they come from some type of work ethics, that they are better and know it alls. The advisors catch attitudes all the time as well as the workers from financial aid. Food' nasty

Advisors don't help at all. They actually try to hold you back to get your money!! seriously pay attention. They will tell you to take the wrong classes so you stay longer. Luckily, my sister warned me and I took advice from her and I graduated on time, I can't say the same for others that Ive seen fall into their trap... (money baiting)

Okay Rutgers: Faculty are horrible, counselors don't want to work, and probably won't even respond to your emails. Not safe at all. The police are there to give tickets only, not to keep you safe (many robberies happen). Also, Deans are not professional, they just go by their mood of the day.
